Updated Get-A-Quote Tool Provides Business Connections


Did you know consumers can request a quote directly from your business’s BBB Profile? Well, they can! And, recent enhancements to the tool have your BBB trending to deliver nearly four times as many quote requests as it did two years ago.

BBB’s Get-A-Quote tool is designed to give your Accredited Business more leads by matching consumer requests to your business’s capabilities and location. Here’s how it works:

Search and Share
When consumers enter a request for a type of service or product, BBB searches its database for BBB Accredited Businesses that match the criteria and notifies them of the lead by text or email.

Direct Request
Consumers can also click on the Get-A-Quote button directly from your business’s BBB Profile.

Claim
When you receive a Get-A-Quote, the first message will ask you to claim the lead. This just means you’re interested in getting more business and would like to know what the consumer is requesting. To claim your lead, simply click on the link given through a text or email notification sent from BBB. You can “review the lead” to get more information and then “claim this lead.”

Respond
You can respond to this information with your bid for the work, a request for additional information from the consumer, or an offer to set up an appointment so you can assess the project yourself. Consumers expect businesses to respond within 24 hours of requesting a quote, and the sooner you respond the better your chances of closing the deal.

BBB Get-A-Quote is available exclusively to Accredited Businesses. In order to take best advantage of the Get-A-Quote tool, BBB needs a current cell phone number on file for your business. In addition, be sure confirm that you’re listed in all the applicable business categories. Update your BBB Profile information through BBB Accredited Business Portal.
