Local BBB Happenings for October 2020

This year has left many consumers and businesses wondering what the remainder of this year and 2021 will bring. One interesting — and valuable — trend has emerged. More and more consumers are utilizing BBB.org to help them connect with trustworthy businesses. In our area, website visits through the end of September were up 27% over 2019. If you haven't refreshed your BBB Business Profile recently, now is a good time to do so. Be sure consumers can learn about what makes your business unique.
BBBs across Texas have joined together to put on the BBB Professional Women’s Conference. The virtual conference starts tomorrow and offers the opportunity to learn from women leaders, connect with other professional women, and be inspired by how women are changing Texas. Even if you're not a professional woman yourself, surely you know one who would benefit from the opportunity to attend the conference whether live or through recordings available to registrants.
ICYMI: Last week, we sent out information about a survey from The Return to Work initiative. Through this survey, the Return to Work initiative will provide employers across the state with information critical to helping them understand where they and their fellow Texans stand during this uncertain time. Input from business owners is critical to helping local and state policy makers address issues affecting employers during and after this pandemic. To gather this input, the Return to Work initiative created this survey for business owners. We implore you to take this completely anonymous, 40-question survey.
