The coronavirus (COVID-19) is taking its toll on all of us. But right now, businesses are among the hardest hit. To help those businesses in need, BBB is assembling a team of business leaders in various fields to serve as Trusted Advisors to answer questions and offer guidance to fellow BBB Accredited Businesses. If you are interested in serving as a Trusted Advisor, please see below:
What we need from you:
Agree to volunteer: 1-2, 2-4, 4-6 hours of your time (or that of your team) to lend your expertise.
How this works: Businesses in need will request a consultation identifying the business expertise they seek, and BBB will match Trusted Advisors with the business owner in need.
You would be asked to: provide your expertise in a limited engagement of an hour or more per request, depending on your time availability.
Mentors, not sellers: While a long-term relationship between applicants and advisors may grow from this outreach, we ask that the Advisors focus this initial consultation on offering general strategic business guidance and not on promoting your standard products and services.
Making a difference and being a valuable resource in the business community during this uncertain time are BBB’s top priorities. With your support, those who are struggling will get the care they need, and those who are fortunate enough to offer their assistance will get to pay it forward - doing their part to keep the lights on in local small businesses.
